The first Bardsey Tennis Club website design was created in the summer of 1999, made up of yellow type on a green hedge-like background.  The colour scheme meant it was awkward to include the tennis club logo with its red, white and black design.

The omission of the logo however proved very unpopular in certain quarters!  The site was scrapped and then rebuilt using the primary colours of red and yellow of the logo (Version 3).  The process averaged out at 30 minutes every night from July 1999 to January 2000 and was carried out as a hobby in the authors spare time.

The site first appeared on the web on 31 October 1999 at  www.bardseytennisclub.8m.com.  The '8m' in the name was compulsory as the URL had been acquired through Freeservers who insisted upon it.  Another drawback was that Freeservers placed an advert on every page of the site.

At the end of January 2000, the URL of www.bardseytennisclub.co.uk was acquired, with no outside adverts.

The site was upgraded to Version 4 in April 2002.   Version 4 is a lot less frame heavy which enables easier uploading.   The design of the site was changed from a high colour content to a mainly plain white site.  The main reason for the change though was to enable easier navigation for users.  Most information can be reached with just one click.

Due to software deficiencies there has been a problem with pictures not appearing on the site.  The index page has therefore had to be changed with the pictures removed.  The change was sufficient to warrant the change from V4.12 to V5.01 in March 2005.

In March 2008 the site was totally redesigned using Webplus SE instead of Microsoft Publisher.  This version became 6.1.  Only 10 pages are available using this software without having to pay a fee so the site was compacted considerably.

In June 2009 the club paid a small fee to purchase Webplus 10, an upgrade to Webplus SE.  This meant the site could be spread over more than 10 pages.  The site was altered to take advantage of the increased space and this version became 6.02.  Other features were added such as a hits counter.
